The Lawyers’ Committee launched a pilot mentorship program focusing on Washington State in the Fall of 2011. Now in its third year, the mentorship program brings together attorneys from underrepresented groups and current judges to help people from diverse backgrounds achieve judgeships. In addition to providing networking opportunities and one-on-one support, the program also hosts workshops providing practical skills – such as how to run a judicial campaign – to mentees.
