The Judicial Diversity program in North Carolina provides networking opportunities for lawyers from underrepresented communities, and panels to educate lawyers and the public on the importance of diversity in the judiciary.

The Lawyers’ Committee will bring together an esteemed panel of five diverse state and federal judges serving in North Carolina, held at the Gantt Center in downtown Charlotte. Panelists will discuss their own career backgrounds and paths to the bench. The panel discussion will be followed by one-on-one discussions with audience members potentially interested in becoming judges in the future.
Panelists include: Yvonne Mims Evans, Resident Superior Court Judge, Judicial District 26, Calvin E. Murphy, Special Superior Court Judge For Complex Business Cases, Regan A. Miller, Chief District Court Judge, Mecklenburg County, Rickeye McKoy-Mitchell, District Court Judge, Mecklenburg County, and Theresa Holmes-Simmons, Judge, United States Immigration Court.
