C. Ann Hewitt

Human Resources Manager

Ann Hewitt serves as Human Resources Manager at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. She leads all Human Resources Administration–including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Recruitment, Professional Development, Training, and Internal Communications.

Ann is an accomplished Senior Human Resources Professional with over 13 years of experience in the Human Resources, Administration, and Finance fields. She has an extensive Human Resources Generalist Affairs and Accounting background, including experience in Employee Recruitment and Retention, Staff Development, Benefits and Compensation, HR Records Management, HR Policies Development, Legal Compliance, and Facilities Management Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Prior to joining the Lawyers’ Committee, Ann served as Staff Accountant & Human Resources Manager at one of the world’s largest health and disability organizations–United Cerebral Palsy, Inc. In this capacity, she was responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating the organization’s Accounts Payable/Receivable, Human Resources, and Facilities Management Programs, plans, procedures, and practices.

Ann holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Howard University and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Strayer University.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her toddler son, Landon, mentoring, decorating, and meditating.
