Kristen Clarke’s confirmation as Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice sends this message everywhere: hate and bigotry will no longer be tolerated at the highest levels of the United States government. Kristen has spent her life and career championing equality under the law and ensuring that the rights guaranteed in the Constitution are fairly applied to everyone.

While Kristen takes the reins at the Justice Department, the national Lawyers’ Committee will continue fighting for equal justice through the courts.
