Sydney Richardson-Gorski*

Policy Associate

Sydney Richardson-Gorski is a Policy Associate in the Public Policy Project at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Sydney, a California native, is dedicated to elevating the concerns, voices, and powers of marginalized communities. Sydney has worked as an advocate for youth in the juvenile justice system; fought for lower pharmaceutical drug prices; and contributed to the development of the National Advisory Council on Eliminating the Black-White Wealth Gap and their work in creating a transition plan for the now President Biden. Prior to joining the Public Policy team, Sydney was an integral member of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law Election Protection team, supporting in a number of ways, including strategizing for the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline’s logistical success, managing the process for our state-based informational materials, and liaising with our legal volunteers.

Sydney is a summa cum laude graduate of Menlo College with a BS in Marketing and a BS in Human Resources; a retired collegiate athlete; a former Student Body President; a member of both the Beta Gamma Sigma and the Alpha Chi Honor Societies; a recipient of the Google Cloud Academic All-District award, and a People For 2021 Front Line Leaders Academy Fellow. Sydney is planning to attend law school this fall.

In her free time, Sydney can be found serving as a legal observer or scouring the DMV for tacos comparable to ones in California.
