Lacy is the Director of Earned Media at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, where he helps chart the course and manage the implementation of the communications work of the organization, including planning, identifying rapid response opportunities, and assisting in managing the daily press operations.

As former communications director at Social Security Works, founder of theVillage Media Group, and partner at Democracy Partners, Lacy has practiced strategic communications and public relations for almost a decade. He has consulted for Women Donors Network, Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch, Blue Future, and others, providing message guidance and garnering top-tier coverage for his clients.

Lacy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
