SECURING JUSTICE FOR ALL
Justice for Black Farmers
After decades of the longstanding racial discrimination in administration of the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) loan programs, Black farmers stand to lose their farms, land and livelihoods without an estimated $4 billion in debt relief promised through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. We won’t stop fighting until this justice is realized.
Making Promises Real
Our principal missionis is to secure equal justice for all through the rule of law, targeting in particular the inequities confronting African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities. Because our commitment to diversity and inclusion is inextricably linked to our pursuit of equal justice for all we won’t stop fighting to make the promises of democracy real.
Smith v. Trump
On January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol Police officers risked their lives to protect our democracy. They faced a violent, mass attack on the Capitol driven by racist, white supremacist rhetoric and intentional misinformation aimed at overturning the legitimate results of an election. And not coincidentally, it was an election in which record numbers of Black voters made their voices heard.
