Commission on the Voting Rights Act
The Voting Rights Project organizes the National
Commission on the Voting Rights Act to compile
the record of racial discrimination in voting
since 1982 in preparation for upcoming efforts
to reauthorize provisions of the Voting Rights
Act set to expire in 2007. |

Minority
Language Initiative
The Voting Rights Project works with communities
of voters to enforce Section 203 of the Voting
Rights Act under which voters who don't have
sufficient English language skills to cast
a meaningful ballot are given language assistance
at every stage of the electoral process. |
